Georgetown Roaches

I got a call from my property manager letting me know that my property on Georgetown Street was being abandoned by the current tenant. That’s my most expensive house and my profit maker. So, I wanted to intervene and talk to the tenant face to face to see if I could convince him to stay.
I called a few times while I was driving to the location but had to leave messages on his voice mail. When I got to Georgetown Street the neighborhood was very pretty except for this house up the street. There was trash in the front yard and junk all on the side as well.
Yep, you got it. That was my house. I was in a complete state of shock. I was inside this house in November and it was immaculate, and here it is June and a tornado must have skipped everyone house except this one.
The back of the house was no different. The brand new refrigerator I installed was sitting on the back porch. A blue sofa was sitting next to the AC unit. Trash and junk was everywhere. I wanted to cry.
I checked the doors and the back sliding door was open. The next few minutes were the most disgusting I’d ever seen. There were roaches everywhere. When I drew open the sliding door some feel on my hand. Eww!   There were swarms and nests of roach pockets all throughout the house. Disgusting.
With each step I took you could see them scattering from my feet. Trash was on the floor throughout the house. The water didn’t work. There were holes in the ceilings, in the closets, in the hallway walls. I could have cried because they trashed my house.
It was a vision of beauty in November and now it looked like someone’s dumping grounds with little brown critters all over the place.
I had my property manager to speak to the tenant and have him to clean up the place. I didn’t think the guy was going to do it so I packed up my two you boys and headed to the house a couple days later to get started cleaning. We also bought some roach bombs too.
When we arrived to Georgetown Street we saw the tenant cleaning. I was so happy because I didn’t know what I would do if I had to fight those bugs. I immediately jumped out the car and handed him the roach bombs. I stressed to him that he needs to use those immediately.
While we were talking he actually had the audacity to say, “Yeah, there are a lot of roaches in here. It’s really nasty in here, and I’m allergic to roaches.” When he said I’m allergic to roaches I felt like a bolt of electricity went through my body. He could not have said that and meant it.
Now, I grew up with roaches. Some of them used to babysit me when I was a kid. But this was the worst infestation of roaches I’d ever seen in my life. On TV or in person! But this guy could honestly say to me that he’s allergic to them. I wanted to slap the hair off the top of his lips. Gross!
Needless to say, I’m happy to say he was thoroughly evicted and I will definitely give an honest opinion if someone ever needs a referral. He’s allergic to roaches! And as far as the roaches, I ended up having to have the professionals to come in and do some heavy duty work. Even they where shocked.
I told them that he was allergic to roaches! Lol….
